The Heureka! team is proud to announce the first partners meeting where first results are to be discussed and presented. The meeting will take place at campus Hagenberg of the Upper Austria University of Applied Sciences.

There are currently three topics on the agenda:

1. Presentation of the centre's topics in more detail
2. Introduction of the part data based structure identification
3. Introduction of the part optimization in production environments

The HeuristicLab development team wishes everyone a successful and happy new year 2009! We're glad about the worldwide interest in our software and hope that you're on board with us the coming year. The next chance to meet with members of the team is at the EuroCAST 2009 conference in Gran Canaria, Spain from February 15-20. We are there co-organizing a workshop on heuristic problem solving together with the group of Günther Raidl from the University of Vienna.

Stephan Winkler today received the Junior Researcher Award 2008 from the Upper Austria University of Applied Sciences (FH OÖ). He was given the prize in recognition of his excellent research work, presented in his PhD thesis and more than 30 peer reviewed publications over the course of the last 4 years! The whole team congratulates whole-heartedly to this success!
