The HeuristicLab Team is expanding further and proud to announce another new team member, Sebastian Raggl.

Sebastian completed his master studies at the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria last year. Now he is supporting the team in developing optimization models and algorithms for complex problems in the domains of production and logistics.

Once again, the EvoSoft workshop at this years GECCO is being hosted by Stefan Wagner and Michael Affenzeller. Everyone is invited to submit a contribution addressing a number of different aspects. The deadline for the submission is April 3rd, 2015.

We would like to congratulate our colleague Stefan Vonolfen as he successfully defended his PhD thesis in September! Stephan joined us a couple of years ago and was doing Heuristic Optimization Methods and Operational Research. We wish him the best for his future.
